  • Why I joined SPJ: I joined SPJ because I believed in the organization’s mission to improve, promote and protect the free practice of high-quality, ethical journalism. After three years in the organization, I’ve not only gained skills, but met student and professional members that I’ll keep in touch with for years to come. I’ve made great memories, even better friends, and I’ve learned how to be an effective leader. All of that is thanks to SPJ.

  • Why I joined SPJ: As a freshman, I wanted to get involved in organizations through the journalism school. I knew this would be a great way to build my resume while also allowing me to promote something that I love, and convince others that they’ll love it too.
